Terms and Conditions
The following Terms of Service (“Terms”) between you (“you” or “your”) and Style Room AU (“we,” “our,” “us,” or “Style Room”) describes the terms and conditions on which you may access Style Room’s product rental services (together with the social media platforms, booking form and the Style Room Content, as defined below, the “Services”). These Terms also apply to in-store rentals, which are part of the Services.
Through the Services, we aim to give you access to beautiful designer clothing and accessories, and stylist advice and other content to help you decide which items are perfect for you. By accessing or using any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Style Room will hold all customers accountable to our terms to ensure we continue to provide a great service and product to all existing, future and returning clients.
Try Ons
· A Try on service is available in Bentleigh East VIC 3165. Try on sessions are 30 minutes.. Try on times are available upon request.
· Please do not attend try ons with fresh fake tan or makeup. Please also be very careful when trying garments on as many are very delicate. If the item/items you tried on are damaged, due to a try on you will be held liable to pay the repair/cleaning or replacement fees.
· Interstate try ons are not available (unless paid for as a full hire)
· Booking a try on does not guarantee that the dress will remain available for your preferred date. To secure your preferred date, full hire payment is required.
· A try on booking is not secured until it has been paid for. When booking a try on, please indicate which garments you would like to try on & the date you are looking to hire for.
Pick ups / Returns
· All garments are to be picked up from our address in Bentleigh East VIC at an agreed time or within an agreed timeframe Monday - Sunday from 9:30Am - 9PM
· All garments are to be returned to the same address in Bentleigh East VIC Monday through Sunday from 9:30AM - 9PM
- Out hire period is MAX 3 continuous nights (4 days). An extended hire period can be arranged, each day costing $15 extra. Failure to return the garment on the agreed date will incur a late fee of $15, regardless of the situation. This to ensure garments can be prepared for the next hire in time.
Shipping details
Delivery
· Style Room’s delivery method is Express Delivery Service, operated by Australia Post (see Australia Post’s Terms and Conditions). Express Delivery is a guaranteed next day delivery within the Express Post network only.
If the customer’s location is outside of the Express Post network, it will take more then one business day and Style Room has no control over this. We ship all orders out a day before the booking begins. If your location is not in the next day delivery zone from Melbourne please let us know after placing your order. If a postal hire does not arrive to you in time by fault of Australia Post delays, you will be refunded the postal cost only if the garment is lodged back at the post office as a return before 3pm the same day. The hire cost will not be refunded but instead, issued as a store credit.
Please check before placing an order that you are in the express network. If your delivery does not get to you in time for your event you will be issued with a store credit less the shipping fees. Please note, your rental period starts from the time the courier attempted first delivery and credits will not be issued for late delivery where you have not been available to accept delivery.
Returns
· A prepaid Australia Post package will be supplied for you to return the garment in. This must be lodged at an Australia Post office before 12PM the next business day after your event. The return must not be dropped in any street post box, they must be lodged over the counter & a lodgement receipt must be sent via dm to @styleroom_au. Failure to do so will incur the late fee of $15 each day.
· We do not post outside of Australia.
· If an item is lost in the mail during the process of return and if we deem the renter to be at fault for the lost package, the cost to replace the dress must be covered by the renter.
Refunds
- We do not offer refunds under any circumstance, if you wish to cancel your hire, store credit will be issued, this is redeemable within 6 months. Any cancellations within 7 days of pickup will incur a cancelation fee of 25% of the hire cost (deducted from the store credit).
- We do not offer refunds or store credit once the garment has been picked up/posted for size issues or changes of mind. We offer try ons in Bentleigh East VIC to avoid such issues.
- If you pick up a garment and it does not fit, you may be eligible to return the dress & swap it for another the same day, provided it is available. If a garment is swapped for a cheaper alternative, the original hire cost will remain, regardless of dress. If a garment is swapped for a more expensive alternative, you must pay the hire cost of the new piece. The opportunity to swap however, is not guaranteed. Please do not book a hire if you are unsure about the piece.
Dry Cleaning and Damages
- Style Room will arrange dry cleaning or other methods of cleaning (dependent on whether the item is dry cleanable or not) after each wear. We take great care in cleaning and inspecting our products however use of this product is at your own risk and Style Room shall not be held liable for any health-related complaints associated with a product rented from our site. Our products have been worn by other customers prior to your rental.
- Please do not attempt to wash or alter the garments during your hire period unless instructed to do so (as this may cause damage to the garment). If we are to believe that the garment has been altered during your hire period, either an invoice for a repair fee or for payment of the full retail price, will be issued to you.
- If damage to a garment is deemed irreversible and cannot be repaired without hindering the appearance of the dress, full retail price must be paid to replace the garment. The irreversible damage will be determined by Style Room’s dry cleaners/tailor who will provide written confirmation, presented to you along with an invoice for payment. The invoice must be paid within 14 days of being received.
- Please notify Style Room immediately if any damage is caused during your hire, do not wait until you have dropped it off. This way we can figure out the best way to have it repaired (if possible) in time for future bookings.
- If a garment is stolen or damaged beyond repair and you refuse to pay to replace the garment, legal action will be taken against you.
